Shelter building

The best shelter to have is a wooden cabin, Made of logs. That can be warm and comfortable for though's who are usually good campers. But also about cabins that are made of logs that are big or small can give you headaches.

If this is to hard for you i will recommend a easier shelter like a
Tree shelter.

Best places to Camp

One of the best places to camp is in a fringe which is a field and a river. If you cant find a fringe just find a field or some flat land by a river. Also you should build a fire.

How to build a fire

To build a fire the first thing you need is flint and steel, some rocks or stones and some sticks normally about
8 sticks depending how big your fire is. Then you rub the flint and steel to one of the sticks and then you have your fire.

How to clean water

To clean water you could put a water purifying tablet in a container with river water in and it clears it or you get a container with pond or river water in and boil it on top of your fire.

Equipment

The best equipment for camping is:

Tent, water, sandwich, pen knife, Flint & steel, lynx, Tooth paste,

Recomendations Of Diffrent Places To Camp

Best Places To Camp In The UK!

The Yurt Farm

Snowdonia

Rough, rugged and with adventure sports aplenty, Snowdonia National Park is magnificent. And, yes, you’ve guessed it, the best way to get right in on the action is to camp. Gwern Gôf Isaf Farm is set right in the heart of the mountains beneath the brooding Tryfan and there’s abseiling and climbing terrain on site.

Tired of tents? Try a tipi or wigwam

If a traditional tent doesn’t appeal, why not stay in a tipi or a wigwam? Mains Farm Wigwams in Stirling, Scotland, have traditional Sioux tipis or more substantial heated wigwams in a lovely spot near Loch Lomond. Down south, Cornish Tipi Holidays hire out tipis in wooded clearings not far from the popular resort of Rock.

Norfolk

Head east to the Norfolk Broads and the idyllic Clippesby Hall campsite. Bordered on all sides by lush greenery it manages to please all-comers with its mix of top-notch facilities and rural charm. Go boating on the broads or head to the coast. And proving there really is something for everyone, there’s an excellent pub onsite, too.

Pikes. Perfect for energetic hikes or quiet relaxation.

The New Forest

What could be better than sleeping under the ancient oaks and gnarled beeches of the New Forest? In fact, the New Forest National Park has much more to offer than woodland. The enormous Roundhill campsite, with room for around 500 pitches, is a beauty. Choose from private wooded glades or smooth heathland and go horse riding, cycling or exploring down the Beaulieu River.

Pembrokeshire

The Pembrokeshire Coast National Park is a Welsh jewel. Undeveloped, peppered with castles and about as charming as landscapes get, camping here is a rare pleasure. Fishguard Bay Caravan and Camping Park takes full advantage of this sweetest of spots, with stellar views across the bay.

How to build a shelter

Do you know how to make shelters?  Well here you go, what you need and how to build them.

So a few week ago Les, Maisy's dad came in to teach us about differant ways to build shelters.  He told us what equipment we need so here is a list of what equipment is need:

Hammers
Pegs
Wood/poles
Flint and slate to make fires
Tablets
Water/drink
Pocket knife
Food
First aid kit
Sleeping bag
Cumpus
Binoculars
Leaves

He told us not to camp near a river on a rainy day because once he did and they got flooded so theres a tip.

The best place to camp in the night is in a tree because animals could get you like snakes and poisonous things.

Now we are going to tell you how to make a shelter.  We told you what equipment you will need, so you will need about 50 sticks ( all the same size).  Then you will need to collect loads of leaves and put them over all the wood to keep it quite dry.  After that you can put everything in it's place.  If you want to be a bit more safe from little creatures from biting you.  It will be safer to put a net or any matirial over the front entrance to keep you away from wild animals.  So after that you will have your very own shelter ready for the night.

When survival camping in a jungle you will most likely to see hippos, elephants, bears, raccoons, owls, skunks, rabbits, rats, squirrels, maskitos, bees and wasps.
